From an outdated site to a design the client chose from 5 concepts
KvarteTones — a custom WordPress redesign for a Czech vocal quartet, plus a custom component that keeps years of old concerts out of the way without deleting them.

The problem
KvarteTones — a Czech vocal quartet performing swing, jazz, and blues — had an old site that no longer reflected the group or made it easy to book them. On top of the redesign, years of past concerts had piled up on one page, making it slower to manage and harder for visitors to find what was current.
The approach
I designed the new site custom in WordPress — not a stock theme — and explored 5 different directions before building the final one, so the client could pick the design that actually fit the group, not just the first idea:
- Custom design in WordPress — the client can still edit content themselves, without being locked into a template's look.
- Multi-year concert archive component — older concerts move automatically out of the main feed into their own archive page, instead of being manually curated or piling up.
- Booking inquiry form, press mentions, member bios — the practical pages a performing group actually needs.
