A booking system built around how the hostel actually runs — not a generic template
Kattegat Hostel, Yerevan, Armenia — a custom-coded site so guests can check dates and request a room, and the owner can manage everything remotely from one admin panel.

The problem
Kattegat Hostel has private rooms and a mixed dorm, each priced and booked differently, and the owner needed to manage it all remotely rather than being tied to one front desk. Generic booking plugins and OTA listings didn't fit that setup, and the hostel had no single place of its own to see availability or handle a request without going back and forth over email or messaging apps.
The approach
Rather than force the hostel into a template, I built the room and reservation logic from scratch, so the site matches exactly how the hostel is actually run:
- Custom booking widget — guests pick dates and see availability across private rooms and the mixed dorm, each individually priced.
- Admin panel — the owner manages rooms, prices, and incoming reservations from anywhere, without needing to be on-site.
- Fully custom-coded — no page-builder ceiling, so the booking flow can grow with the hostel's own rules rather than a plugin's.
The result
The hostel now has one centralized system that fits its exact needs instead of adapting to a generic tool — increasing day-to-day efficiency and letting the owner run bookings remotely.
from launch to the first reservation made through the site.
replacing scattered email/messaging back-and-forth with one remote-manageable admin panel.
